Our History and Background

Founded in 1989 by William A. Minnis, III, The Minnis Group was started to fill the Employee Benefits needs of businesses throughout the Delaware Valley. From the very beginning, Bill saw an opportunity where he could become a valuable resource to local businesses by offering unrivaled personalized service at no extra costs to his clients. In addition, Bill wanted to build an Employee Benefits agency where companies could trust their Insurance broker and believe in their agentís knowledge and commitment to them on a much more personal level. Today The Minnis Group administers the Benefits packages for hundreds of local business of all shapes and sizes within many different industries. It is because of these same fundamental values and principles that The Minnis Group is able to retain their clients, while continually growing, each year.
William A. Minnis, III has been in the insurance industry since 1982. Before starting his own agency, Bill worked for six years in the Life and Health and Property and Casualty segments with Wausau Insurance Company as well as Northwestern Mutual Life. His background in the criminal justice field, along with almost thirty years of experience in the insurance industry has given him extensive knowledge on the ethics and legal issues of the business, as well as a full understanding of HIPPA, The ERISA Laws, COBRA, billing, claims processing, and appeals procedures.


The Minnis Group has been building long term client relationships throughout the Delaware Valley since 1989. We have done so by providing cost cutting, yet easy to understand Benefits products to our clients on a personal and friendly basis. Our knowledge of the Healthcare industry along with a strong and lasting rapport with the regionís top insurance carriers allows us to offer our clients the highest quality Benefit packages at the most competitive premiums. Throughout the year, our agency remains aggressive and consistent in providing responsive service which is imperative to the effective implementation and execution of any Employee Benefits Package.
The Minnis Group employs a staff of Independent Brokers, not working with or bound to a sole carrier, who work entirely on behalf of our clients. We conduct extensive research and shop around the marketplace locating products that best suit your needs. We provide cost analysis, coverage negotiations, request rate discounts, conduct personal Open Enrollment meetings, and see to it that every carrier has your best interest in mind at all times. We administer our clientsí benefits packages, in house, and our agency specializes in settling claims, billing errors, and we always offer immediate assistance and consultation. Our clients and their family members contact us directly with any questions or concerns. You will never be placed into voicemail or directed to 800 numbers for assistance.
